Remnants of Life: Earth

This pinecone is part of a set of three drawings, called "Remnants of Life". The idea is that each object used to be part of a living creature. After I finished all three, I realized that they represent the four elements (feather=air, shell=water, pinecone=earth), except for fire, and I can't think of anything that would fit that, so I'll leave it at three, which is a good number. These were done in 6B pencil on natural handmade paper.
